Create a class alphabet book with each child contributing one (or more) sea creature to the book. The class can brainstorm to find possibilities for each letter and/or research for creature's names. Just as there is diversity in the sea, so too should there be diversity in your book. You may not have a creature for every letter of the alphabet, and you may have several creatures for a single letter. Be flexible and creative for maximum learning! A possible group of names are: abalone, barnacle, coral, crab, dolphin, eel, fish, grey whale, harbor seal, humpback whale, Indus River dolphin, jellyfish, krill, leopard seal, lobster, manatee, narwhal, octopus, orca, otter, plankton, right whale, Yangtze River dolphin, zebra fish.
