Fish Eyes Activity Kit (from

As a whole group children are
introduced to graphing the fish from the fish bowl. At center time the children
can practise graphing smaller amounts of fish on their own mat. In the bin I
have provided a graph that has been run off from the kit and children use a
handful of fish to fill it in.
The fish in the kit can also be
used for a sorting activity for large or small group. The children's discussion
with me entailed how the fish were the same and how they were different. The kit
includes: long fin fish, upturned fish, round fish, fan tail fish, humpback
fish, smooth fish and lips fish.
Other activities in the booklet include adding and subtracting fish from the fish bowl, art ideas, and other attribute awareness activities.
